Job Description: E-commerce Operations Intern (Paid)

Job Overview:
The E-commerce Operations role is responsible for managing the day-to-day backend processes of online sales channels. This includes everything from order processing and inventory coordination to logistics tracking and platform management. The goal is to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely execution of all e-commerce transactions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any stream (Commerce/Business preferred).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for tracking and reporting.
Basic knowledge of major e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.).
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Note: Undergraduates DO NOT QUALIFY for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Listings & Content Management:
Upload and update product listings, descriptions, prices, and images.
Ensure content accuracy and compliance with platform guidelines.
Coordinate with the marketing team for promotions and discounts.
Order Management:
Process and manage customer orders received through platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and the company’s own website.
Coordinate order fulfillment with warehouse or dispatch teams.
Monitor order status and ensure timely deliveries.
Inventory & Stock Control:
Track inventory levels and stock availability across platforms.
Reconcile stock between physical inventory and online systems.
Coordinate with procurement/supply chain for restocking.
Logistics & Delivery Coordination:
Liaise with courier and logistics partners for shipping and returns.
Resolve delivery delays, lost shipments, and return issues.
Monitor shipment tracking and update order statuses accordingly.
Reporting & Analysis:
Generate reports on orders, sales performance, returns, and delivery metrics.
Analyze customer trends, returns, and complaints to improve service quality.
Provide insights to improve operational efficiency.
Customer Support (Optional depending on company):
Respond to customer inquiries related to orders, delivery, and returns.
Coordinate with support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Optional Add-ons:
Prior experience or internship in e-commerce is a plus.
Familiarity with order/inventory management systems like Unicommerce, Vinculum, or Shopify
